I don’t know how I get the privilege of documenting such beautiful love stories lived out by the most amazing couples, but Tuesday was definitely a highlight of the past six years I’ve spent as a wedding photographer. The sacrificial love that Josh and Lizi have for each other is a beautiful reflection of God’s love for us, and I couldn’t have felt more honored to be included in such a special day! I flew from Pensacola to Memphis, TN to photograph their wedding this week, and it was such an adventure!
Memphis is Lizi and Josh’s hometown, but Izmir, Turkey was what Lizi called home for most of her childhood. Her family spent several years in Turkey as missionaries, and I absolutely loved how Lizi incorporated Turkish elements into her wedding! For example, olive branches, which are significant in Turkey, were central to the decorations and details of the day (all of which were designed and created with love by family and friends). The couple exchanged their vows in Lizi’s grandmother’s garden just after sunset, under an arbor built by Joshua, followed by an intimate dinner reception that included sharing stories, laughter, and tears with their closest family and friends. Their wedding was one of the most beautiful and unique celebrations I’ve ever been a part of, and I am so grateful for the people God has brought into my life through my job as a wedding photographer!
Lizi and Josh, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day! I am so grateful that God brought both of you into my life, and I can’t wait to see where He takes you on this new adventure you’re starting together! Your gallery is currently uploading over the wifi in the Charlotte airport as I wait for my flight home haha, so for now, I hope you enjoy this little preview!
These beautiful invitations were designed by the groom!
“Seni seviyorum” means “I love you” in Turkish.
I love how many personal details were included in the photos. This box was hand-carved by Josh and used when he proposed to Lizi on a camping trip!
The wooden tables, also made by the groom, were such beautiful canvases for the olive branch place settings!
Lizi and Josh made their own wedding cake together the day before, and instead of a groom’s cake Joshua chose baklava, which is a traditional Turkish dessert (and both were DELICIOUS!).
When Lizi and her family came back to the U.S. to visit, she and her sister would play dress up in this room, which made putting on her wedding gown here so special!
First looks are always one of my favorite parts of the day!! So glad Lizi and Josh got to enjoy this sweet moment together before their ceremony :).
So glad Lizi, Josh, and their stunning bridal party were willing to drive across the street to the nature trail and brave the Memphis heat and humidity for portraits! They were amazing!!
The ceremony, officiated by Lizi’s father, started just after sunset, and was lit by the prettiest lanterns and lights. It created such a unique atmosphere, and I loved it!
Love this sweet couple!! Y’all are MARRIED!

Last Saturday I had the privilege of capturing this sweet couple’s wedding, and I am so excited to share a preview! Every detail of their day was amazing, from the peacock inspired decorations (that were mostly designed and DIY’d by the talented bride herself!), to Christa’s incredibly intricate and beautiful lace wedding gown, to the way John smiled when he saw his bride for the first time — I wish I could just bottle up all of the emotion and joy that their wedding day contained! I could go on and on, but I think their pictures will show just how special this day was!
Christa and John, thank you SO much for trusting me to capture your wedding day (and for braving the heat and 1000% humidity for photos! 😉 You guys were amazing, and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of your wedding! I hope you’re having so much fun in Gatlinburg — enjoy this little preview while I finish up your full gallery!
Christa designed the prettiest invitation suite! I love how she portrayed the peacock theme in such an elegant and glamorous way!
Christa, you are absolutely stunning!!
A first look with dad right before she walked down the aisle… this is the point of the day when I start crying behind the camera ;).
So glad Christa and John were willing to sneak out of their reception with me for a few sunset shots — the light was just gorgeous on them!

I can’t express the fun I had adventuring around with Kaitlyn and Michael Sunday evening! They came all the way from Mississippi so we could take their engagement photos in Pensacola, because they’re getting married in just a couple months at a beautiful beach house on Pensacola Beach, and because this little location is special as well! I asked Kaitlyn to type out the story behind this beautiful spot in her own words, because it is just precious and shows so much of the sweet connection they have!
“A month and a half into dating, Michael and I decided to take a short day trip to Pensacola. One of Michael’s work friends’ dad owns a small cottage with a private beach behind it, also known as the Point. The Point is on the bayside of Pensacola — a narrow pathway of sand leads out into the bay, and the water from both sides of the Point meets creating a unique design of ripples. When standing at the very tip of the sandy beach all alone surrounded by the rolling waves, there is a serene feeling that is only second to one — the one exception that far surpasses that powerful ocean feeling is the one I get when I see my fiance, Michael Ray Hefner. To go ahead and mix the two greatest things in the world, Michael walked me out to this unfamiliar area as the sun was well into setting. The oranges and pinks of the sky reflected on the water creating a glorious atmosphere. With some twirls, hugs, and laughter, we eventually made it to the furthest point of this sand strip; and he pulled me in for another hug, then took both of my hands. Looking into my eyes with a smile he said, “I am by no means proposing, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to marry you someday.” And here we stand again for our engagement pictures just nine weeks away from our wedding, ready for our forever!”
When Becca started telling me about her love story and how Schuyler proposed, I knew she and Schuyler had a special relationship! You could just tell she was marrying her best friend! Becca and Schuyler were two of the most joyful people on their wedding day, and I am so excited that I got to be a part of it! Becca made an absolutely stunning bride, and Coldwater Gardens in Milton was just gorgeous! It has such a unique atmosphere and beautiful design, and I hope I get to shoot more weddings there. I mean, a wedding venue with glamping tents — how cool is that?! I could go on and on about how much fun Becca and Schuyler’s wedding was, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!
Becca and Schuyler, you guys are the best! Thank you SO much for giving me the privilege of capturing your wedding day! I hope you enjoy this little preview while your full gallery is uploading!!

Ok, so I seriously can not express how excited I am to share these photos! Kelly and Jason’s Seaside, FL wedding was one of the most FUN weddings I have ever been a part of! When Kelly and her bridesmaids walked through the door at Honeybee Cottage that afternoon, their excitement was contagious and I knew it was going to be the best day ever! Aside from being a drop-dead gorgeous couple, Kelly and Jason are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. It’s obvious that they were meant for each other, and I am so happy that I got to capture their love story! I *may* have over-blogged this wedding haha — it was way too hard not to share every single picture! For those of you from out of town, here’s a good peek into the paradise that is Seaside beach Florida, complete with the most amazing bride and groom and their sweet family and friends!
Kelly and Jason, thank you SO much for choosing me as your wedding photographer and making me feel so loved and well taken care of on your special day! I hope you enjoy reliving your wedding day through these photos — I can’t wait to send you your full gallery! <3
Shout out to my amazing assistant photographer Emily! She made the day a huge success and I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. So thankful she got to fly in from Memphis to visit and shoot with me! We saw this cute little walkway as we were leaving the guys at One Seagrove Place, and we couldn’t resist ;).
And just for laughs… I also love Emily because she captures behind the scenes shots like this when I’m carrying my gear through bushes to get to the location…
Honeybee Cottage was the CUTEST!
Kelly, you are radiant!
These girls should win an award for the best bridal party!

When I first met Amber for coffee to talk about her wedding, I knew I was going to love working with her! Not only is she gorgeous, she has the sweetest personality and I just loved getting to know her and hear her love story that day! After we had to reschedule her engagement session due to the weather, I woke up last Wednesday to a frustrating weather forecast — thunderstorms. But not all day. ONLY forecasted during the two hours we had set aside for Amber and Chris’s session. Seriously?! But after debating rescheduling again, we decided to take our chances and I am so glad we did, because we ended up having the brightest, prettiest golden sunset! Pensacola’s temperamental weather worked out in our favor this time!
I so enjoyed getting to hang out with Amber and Chris during their engagement session. I think my favorite thing about them is the way they smile at each other — you can just tell they are in love and so excited to be getting married! Amber and Chris also have two adorable pups, so it was super fun to get a few shots of their cute little family of four! We started out at Morgan Park on Pensacola Beach for photos with the dogs, then chased the sunset to Gulf Islands Natl. Seashore for some more photos of just Amber and Chris.
Amber and Chris, I seriously can’t wait for you guys to tie the knot later this year! I had so much fun shooting your engagement photos last week, and I hope you enjoy this little preview!!
A couple weeks ago a dream came true for me — I got to shoot my first destination wedding for an AMAZING couple in New Windsor, Maryland! I met Hannah online through Delight, a community for young ladies pursuing Jesus and the creative arts, a few years ago (to learn more about Delight check out delightandbe.com). When another photographer likes your work enough to ask you to shoot her wedding, that’s probably one of the biggest compliments you can receive, and it makes shooting the wedding a bit intimidating if I’m being honest!! But Hannah is the sweetest and she made sure I felt so welcomed from the moment I arrived in Maryland! I’m so glad I can not only call her my bride, but also my friend.
From a photographer’s standpoint, Hannah and Zach’s wedding day was literally the SMOOTHEST wedding I’ve ever shot. Partly because Hannah and Zach are STUNNING (am I right?!), and partly because there were several other Delight girls attending who had my back the entire day. From hanging the dresses in a tree, to finding a random ladder for me to stand on, to second shooting for me and making sure I remembered to eat, these girls made my day so wonderful and I am so thankful for their help and their friendship!
Hannah and Zach, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing such a special day. I feel beyond blessed that I got to be a part of your wedding day, and also a part of your lives! Witnessing your love for each other on your wedding day was something I will never forget, and I am so happy that you are finally Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher! I hope you enjoy this little preview while I’m finishing up your full gallery!!
When the “getting ready room” is almost as perfect as the bride…
I die during first looks guys… SO cute!!
How PERFECT are they?!
Such a gorgeous group of girls!!
Oh my heart <3 Hannah is the best aunt to this sweet girl!!
Zach made this arbor the day before the wedding, and I love how he incorporated the sign he made when he proposed to Hannah!
Sometimes I get to do some pretty cool things as a wedding photographer… like ride in a firetruck to the reception!!
And the danced…
And of course we had to get a Delight picture! These girls have my heart! <3

Erin and David’s wedding was such a dream! I’m so glad I was able to connect with both of them over Facetime and hear all about their love story before they traveled to the Destin Bay House for their wedding last Sunday! It’s a rare and special thing to know your spouse for as long as they have — they basically grew up together, so they’ve had years to build a strong, solid friendship, which I know will be such a wonderful part of their marriage!
Erin was a dream bride. Beautiful, easygoing, and joyful! And David, well, I don’t think I caught a single picture of him not looking at Erin with the biggest smile on his face! It is so evident that Erin and David’s love for each other is deep and genuine, and I felt so honored to be a part of the day they joined their lives together!
Erin and David, thank you SO much for choosing me to capture your wedding day! It was a day I will never forget, and you guys will always hold a special place in my heart! I hope you two are having a blast in Nashville, and I hope you enjoy this little preview while I edit the rest of your photos!
I LOVE a blush wedding gown, and Erin looked absolutely STUNNING in it!
Oh my heart! This little lady kept trying to escape the group photo, and it was the cutest thing ever!
The cutest flower girls in all the land…
Have you ever seen a more gorgeous group of girls??
LOVE the Destin Bay House! Such a beautiful wedding venue!
And they danced…
The prettiest sunset, a dock on the bay, and the cutest couple ever…

Last Friday was nothing short of incredible! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride as JOYFUL as Lindsey was on her wedding day! Leading up to the wedding Lindsey was so organized — she had a spreadsheet for everything and was always taking notes when we met to plan things! I knew that all of her hard work in planning this wedding was going to pay off in the most beautiful way, and it definitely did. Everything was so lovely, from the wooden chairs and lights in the courtyard at 5 Eleven, to the succulents in Lindsey’s bouquet, to the navy blue bridesmaid dresses and pink flowers. Every detail blended perfectly together to create the most beautiful romantic garden wedding theme, and I was in love!!
From the moment I showed up at the Crowne Plaza, Lindsey met me at the door with the biggest smile! She was so relaxed and you could tell she was already truly enjoying every little part of her day. Even when there was a major bump in the road and part of the day didn’t play out as expected, Lindsey handled it with grace and didn’t even seem phased! And Ken was just as kind and so wonderful to work with! I think my favorite part of the day was getting to watch his reaction to seeing Lindsey in her wedding gown for the first time. You could tell he thought she was the most beautiful thing in the world (and I can’t argue with that!).
Lindsey and Ken, thank you SO much for allowing me to be a part of such a special day! Clients who become friends are the best kind, and your wedding was perfect! I hope you’re having a blast in the Caribbean, and enjoy reliving your day through this little preview as I edit the rest of your photos! <3
The first look is always one of my favorite moments of the day, and Ken’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time was so special to watch!
Lindsey, you are stunning!!
The courtyard at 5 Eleven is one of my new favorite places to take photos!
That’s one handsome groom right there!
And the cutest flower girl ever!
I love it when my brides have artistic suggestions for me, and I was so happy Lindsey wanted to walk down by the water for a few pictures! They ended up being some of my favorites!!
